ENHANCED SAFETY guidelines FOR COVID-19

PATIENT & PRACTITIONER SCREENING

If you are experiencing or have had any cold or flu-like symptoms (regardless of covid) in the past 10 days, or if you have had a known COVID exposure in the past 10 days, please cancel your appointment with no late cancellation fee.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

When you arrive at your appointment please remain in your car and notify me by text. I ask that no guests accompany patients to their appointments unless previously approved for medical reasons.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) & ARRIVAL

After you text, I will text you back to meet me at the back door up the back steps in the back of the building. From there, I will bring you directly into your treatment room to eliminate any interaction in the waiting room. Face masks are still required for each patient and doctor. I can provide one if you need.

ENHANCED SANITATION

I have put into place enhanced cleaning procedures to ensure surfaces and key touch points are disinfected throughout the day and after each patient. The office is regularly professionally cleaned using CDC- approved cleaners that are specialized and proven to remove germs from surfaces. All cleaning products have been approved by the CDC and EPA as protective against Coronavirus (Sars-Cov- 2). Between each appointment, rooms will be thoroughly disinfected, sheets will be changed, and all surfaces will be cleaned.

CLEANLINESS

Cleanliness is a critical component of making this a space where you can relax – but it is also absolutely crucial to making it safe. All linens are laundered in hypoallergenic soap and at high temperatures to make sure they are fresh and completely contaminant-free. Any medical waste (mainly acupuncture needles) is disposed of properly. As usual, I wash and sanitize my hands before and after each patient interaction and will have hand sanitizer available.

ACUPUNCTURE SAFETY

I only use sterile, single-use acupuncture needles, which are disposed of safely after each treatment. The area to be treated is always swabbed with alcohol before inserting a needle.

Fragrance & Scent Policy

The clinic is a fragrance-free environment. Please refrain from wearing scented products such as perfume, cologne, essential oils and fragrant personal care products while using this space, as they can trigger serious health issues for those with fragrance allergies. We appreciate your cooperation in making this area accessible.

EXTENSIVE TRAINING & STANDARDS

I hold a Masters and a Doctorate in Acupuncture and I am licensed by the state of Oregon. As a licensed acupuncturist, who is dedicated to offering the best possible patient care, I hold myself to the highest standards. I have practiced acupuncture for almost two decades and I take extensive continuing education regularly. I am continuously studying new advances in Chinese medicine, as well as innovative ways to integrate Chinese medicine with conventional medical treatment. Thank you for trusting me with your care.
